Are you a gardener but don’t have the space for veggies? Rent one of our Community Garden beds! You will be surrounded by fellow gardeners and a beautiful park. Tools are available and beds come well amended. Rental period is one year.
At the Lakes Park Enrichment Foundation, we believe that everyone should benefit from the beauty and fun at Lakes Park, which is why we created and are funding the E.Z. Last year, the Foundation implemented a phased approach to replace the aging beds. A donation campaign is underway to help fund this essential maintenance effort. Want to get involved in the Community Garden? Learn more.
The Community Garden was a welcome addition to the Lakes Park Gardens. It provides a place for locals to learn to grow their own food. Veteran gardeners coach “newbies” about soil, drainage, pest control, maximizing yield and other subjects that will lead to their success. This is a progressive effort to revive the practice of growing and consuming produce close to home. Full-time Lee County residents can rent one of the 4′ x 8′ raised beds for just $75 annually, for the purpose of growing food and flowers. The foundation provides soil and tools. Seedlings are propagated in the Fragrance Garden and offered to gardeners at the beginning of the growing season for a modest price. Volunteers harvest food from several dedicated beds plus excess from the renters every other week during the growing season (October through April) for donation to a local soup kitchen.
Hurricane Ian caused massive damage to the water features and they will have to be totally rebuilt. The playgrounds and all paths and trails are totally open so come enjoy them.”

“Thank you for your email. The splash pads at Lakes Park were severely damaged by Hurricane Ian and
must be completely demolished and replaced. We are currently in the procurement process to find a
vendor for replacement. Once that is completed, we will have a better estimate as to when they will be
finished. Check back to our page www.leeparks.org/Lakespark for updates.
We also have a splash pad at Veterans Park in Lehigh Acres- https://www.leegov.com/parks/parks/
